Angus Council

ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that Angus Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 75(3)(a) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, have made a Scheme for the construction, as part of a public road, of a bridge over the River South Esk at Montrose, as described in the Schedule to the Scheme.

The title of the Scheme is “THE ANGUS COUNCIL A92 MONTROSE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT BRIDGE SCHEME 2003”.

The general effect of the Scheme is the demolition of the existing Montrose Bridge and construction of temporary bridge and replacement bridge, River South Esk, Montrose, Angus.

A copy of the Scheme and relevant plans may be inspected free of charge until 3rd October 2003 during business hours at the Planning Department Reception, Angus Council, St James House, St James Road, Forfar or at Montrose Library, 216 High Street, Montrose (please check first for opening times).

The Scheme has been submitted to the Scottish Ministers for confirmation and will not take effect until confirmed by them. Any person may within 6 weeks from 22nd August 2003 object to the confirmation of this Scheme by the Scottish Ministers by Notice in writing to the Scottish Ministers, Enterprise, Transport and Lifelong Learning Department, Transport Division 3, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6QQ. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds which they are made.
