COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2003

Notice is hereby given that The City of Edinburgh Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the above mentioned Acts on the 31st day of March 2003 made the above mentioned The Edinburgh M9 Spur Extension/A90 Upgrading (A8000 Upgrading) Compulsory Purchase Order 2003 which affects the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of consolidation of mine workings for the construction of a new extension of the M9 Spur to meet the A90 and the improvement of the stretch of the A90 from that new junction to the Forth Road Bridge.

The Order is about to be submitted to Scottish Ministers for confirmation and comes into operation only if confirmed.

A copy of the Order and of the map referred to therein have been deposited at the office of the Director of City Development, 1 Cockburn Street, Edinburgh and may be seen there without payment of fee between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm Monday and Tuesday, between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Wednesday, between 8.30 am and 6.00 pm Thursday and between 8.30 am and 3.30 pm Friday. Further copies of the Order and of the map referred to therein have been deposited at South Queensferry Library, 9 Shore Road, South Queensferry and at Kirkliston Library, Station Road. Kirkliston and may be seen in either Library without payment of fee between 1.00 pm and 8.00 pm Monday and Wednesday, between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm Saturday.

Any objections to the Order must be made in writing stating the title of the Order and grounds of objection and addressed to The Scottish Executive Development Department, Transport Division 3, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6QQ by 2nd May 2003.

The following land in the area of the City of Edinburgh and County of West Lothian:

1. A temporary servitude right of access over 11,083 square metres of agricultural land lying to the northwest of the Falkirk to Fife railway line and to the south of the A90.
2. A temporary servitude right of access over 4,308 square metres of agricultural land lying to the northwest of the Falkirk to Fife railway line and to the south of the A90.
