NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974, that an application has been made to SEPA by Mr George Gillespie for consent to discharge up to 120 cubic metres per day of sewage effluent to the Mill Burn at NGR NS 7787 5019 from a pumping station at Ashgillhead Road/Ayr Road, Shawsburn, Larkhall. It should be noted that this proposed discharge of sewage effluent is an emergency overflow and will occur only in the event of power failure, or breakdown of the sewage pumping station.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride, Glasgow G74 5PP, not later than 18th April 2003, quoting reference WPC/W/30949.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge at the above address at all reasonable hours.
