NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991

SECTION 117 (SCOTLAND)

Notice of Substantial Works for Roads Purposes (Scotland)

1.	Three months advance notice is hereby given that Fife Council intends to carry out substantial works for road purposes on behalf of the Scottish Executive.
2.	The road in which these works will take place is:
A92 Trunk road, Glenrothes: carriageway, footway, footpath and verge.
B9130 Markinch Road: carriageway, footway and verge.
Queensway, Glenrothes: carriageway, footpath and verge.
3.	Work is expected to affect the carriageway/footway/footpath/verge.
A92 Trunk Road, Glenrothes: between Cadham Road Junction and 150 metres south of Preston Roundabout.
B9130 Markinch Road: From the A92 Trunk Road eastwards for 150 metres.
Queensway, Glenrothes: From Preston Roundabout westwards for 350 metres.
4.	Work is expected to commence on: 14th April 2003.
5.	The works notified will include the following:
(a)	A92 Trunk Road and junction between Cadham Road and Preston Roundabout, including work to Queensway.
(b)	Carriageway, footway, drainage, cycleway and construction of footbridge.
6.	Subject to the exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no road works may be executed for a period of 12 months from completion of the works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the Highway Authority, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
