ABANDONMENT ORDERS
NORTH CIRCULAR ROAD, LURGAN
The Department for Regional Development, being of the opinion that another road is available which provides alternative facilities for road traffic, proposes to make an Order, under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993, the effect of which would be to abandon an area of 783 square metres of superseded road at North Circular Road, Lurgan, commencing at a point 7.3 metres from Tarry Lane and extending for a length of 125.5 metres in a south-easterly direction.
The area of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period from 20 October 2011 to 28 November 2011 at the Department’s Roads Service offices, Headquarters, Room 213, Clarence Court, 10–18 Adelaide Street, Belfast, and Southern Division, Craigavon Section Office, Carn Industrial Estate, Portadown.
Any person may, within the period above, object to the proposal in writing to the Department’s Roads Service Southern Division, Lands Section, Marlborough House, Central Way, Craigavon, BT64 1AD stating the grounds of objection. SHANKBRIDGE ROAD, BALLYMENA
The Department for Regional Development, being of the opinion that the road is not necessary for road traffic, proposes to make an order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993, the effect of which would be to abandon an area of 912 square metres of the link road between the A26 Lisnevenagh Road and the B98 Shankbridge Road, Ballymena, extending in an easterly direction from its junction with Lisnevanagh Road.
The area of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period from 18th October 2011 to 2nd December 2011 at the Department’s Roads Service Headquarters, Room 213, Clarence Court, 10–18 Adelaide Street, Belfast and Roads Service Northern Division, County Hall, Castlerock Road, Coleraine, BT51 3HS and Ballymena Section Office, Ballykeel Depot, 190 Larne Link Road, Ballymena.
Any person may within the period above object to the proposal by written notice to the Department’s Roads Service, Coleraine Office, at the address above stating the grounds of objection. BROWNING DRIVE, LONDONDERRY
The Department for Regional Development, being of the opinion that the area of road is not necessary for road traffic, proposes to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993, the effect of which would be to abandon an area of 393 square metres of road at the western end of Browning Drive, Londonderry, adjacent to the railway line.
The area of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft Order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period from 18th October 2011 to 2nd December 2011 at Roads Service Headquarters, Room 213, Clarence Court, 10–18 Adelaide Street, Belfast, and Londonderry Section Office, 1 Crescent Road, Londonderry BT47 2NQ.
