Hunter Crescent, Omagh: Replacement Of Existing Flood Wall
The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development hereby gives notice in pursuance of Article 12A of the Drainage (Northern Ireland) Order 1973 as amended by the Drainage (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 that it proposes to carry out works at Hunter Crescent, Omagh.
The proposed scheme will consist of the construction of approximately 333m of new reinforced concrete flood wall to replace an existing flood wall. The new wall will be constructed immediately adjacent the existing wall on the river side. The existing wall will be demolished upon completion of the new wall and the general area will be fully reinstated and new soft landscaping provided.
Having determined that the proposed works are not, by reason amongst other things of their nature, size or location, likely to have significant environmental effects, it is the Department’s intention not to prepare an Environmental Statement.
The scheme proposals may be inspected free of charge by any person during the period Tuesday 14 December 2010 to Tuesday 11 January 2011 inclusive at the following locations between the hours 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

In accordance with Articles 12(3) and (4) of the Order any person wishing to make representations regarding the likely effect of the Scheme should do so in writing to:
