European Pharmacopoeia

The Ministers, that is to say the Secretary of State and the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety, acting jointly, hereby declare under section 65(7) of the Medicines Act 1968 that on and after 1st January 2008 the monographs contained in the Sixth Edition of the European Pharmacopoeia, published under the direction of the Council of Europe (Partial Agreement) in accordance with the Convention on the Elaboration of a European Pharmacopoeia, are to have effect for the purposes of section 65 of the said Act and that the Sixth Edition of the European Pharmacopoeia replaces the Fifth Edition of the European Pharmacopoeia which was completed by the publication of its eighth Supplement.

Copies of the said Sixth Edition of the European Pharmacopoeia have been published by the Council of Europe, 67081 Strasbourg Cedex, France.
