Notice of Application for Vesting Order

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Newtownabbey Borough Council in pursuance of the provisions of the Local Government Act (Northern Ireland) 1972, and The Recreation and Youth Service (NI) Order 1986 has applied to the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure for an Order vesting the land described in the Schedule in the Council in accordance with and subject to the provisions of the above Acts.

The Council desires to acquire the said land, otherwise than by agreement for the following purposes:- To provide recreational facilities in its Borough.

The land to be vested covers 8 acres and is located off the Glenville Road, in the Townland of Cloughfern.

All objections to the application from persons interested in the lands specified in the application must be made in writing and sent to The Secretary, Department of Culture Arts and Leisure of Interpoint, 20-24 York Street, Belfast, BT15 1AQ on or before the 7th day of September 2007.
