Notice is hereby given that an application (the “ Application ”) for an order sanctioning an insurance business transfer scheme (the “ Scheme ”) under Part VII of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 was on 14 June 2007 presented to the High Court of England and Wales by BUPA Insurance Limited (BUPA). The Scheme provides for the transfer to Quinn Direct Insurance Limited (“ Quinn Direct ”) of the entire health insurance business carried on by BUPA through its branch in the Republic of Ireland.

The Application is directed to be heard before the Companies Court Judge at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London, WC2A 2LL on 30 July 2007. Any person (including an employee of BUPA or Quinn Direct) who believes that he or she would be adversely affected by the carrying out of the Scheme is entitled to be heard (in person or by legal representative) by the High Court at the hearing of the Application.
