Phoenix Natural Gas Ltd held combined licences for the conveyance and supply of gas in Northern Ireland, which was awarded on 5th September 1996.

Phoenix Supply Ltd was granted a licence for the supply of gas in Northern Ireland on 19th December 2006. This will replace supply within the original Phoenix Natural Gas Ltd combined licences in order to facilitate compliance with the unbundling requirements of the Gas Directive.

At the date of application, Phoenix Natural Gas Ltd has also applied for a conveyance licence which would apply if Phoenix Transmission were mutualised.
