Appeal of Decision Made by Monaghan County Council
The Department received notification from Monaghan County Council that it decided to GRANT PERMISSION (dated 13th June 2006) to the following development which is likely to have significant effects on the environment in Northern Ireland. This application was accompanied by an Environmental Statement.
This decision has now been appealed.

Location: Townlands of Tullynageer, Knocknaneen, Loughbrattoge, Doocharn, Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan
Proposal: Construction and operation of Tullynageer Wind Farm, comprising of 7 wind turbines (100.25 metres to blade tip, 65 metre hub height, 35 metre blades), foundations, crane hard standings, access tracks, met mast, switch room/control building, track upgrades, highway upgrades, underground cabling, temporary construction compound with 3 permanent car parking spaces and other associated works.

The decision by Monaghan County Council to grant planning permission for this proposed development on the 13th of June, 2006 was appealed by third parties on the 10th of July, 2006.
A copy of the appeal is available for inspection or purchase for a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during the hours of 9.15am -1.00pm, 2.00pm -5.15pm, Monday –Friday at the offices of Monaghan County Council, Planning Section, The Glen, Monaghan.
Submissions or observations in relation to the appeal may be made in writing to An Bord Pleanala, 64, Marlborough Street, Dublin 1 within 4 weeks of the 10th of July, 2006 and on payment of the appropriate fee of Ä50.00
