Notice under paragraph 8 of Schedule 16 to the said Act

Notice is hereby given that Lambeth Building Society, Register No 314B, whose principal office is at 118-120 Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7XE, desires to transfer its engagements to Portman Building Society, Register No 463B, and that each society has applied to the Financial Services Authority to confirm the transfer.

Notice is hereby given that Portman Building Society, Register No 463B, whose principal office is at Portman House, Richmond Hill, Bournemouth BH2 6EP, desires to accept a transfer of the engagements of Lambeth Building Society, Register No 314B, and that each society has applied to the Financial Services Authority to confirm the transfer.

Any interested party may make written representations to the FSA and/or give notice of intention to make oral representations to the FSA with respect to the application. Written representations and notices of intention to make oral representations should be received by the Financial Services Authority, 12th Floor, RFD, Dept B, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5HS or by email to barbara.purkiss@fsa.gov.uk by 23 June 2006. If notice is given of oral representations these will be heard by the FSA on 24 July 2006, at a time and place to be determined by the FSA.
