Northern Area Plan 2016 - Public Inspection Of Objections

The Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991

The Northern Area Plan 2016 is a development plan being prepared under the provisions of Part III of The Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 by the Planning Service, an Agency within the Department of the Environment. Following publication of the Draft Plan on 11th May 2005, the Department invited representations over an 8-week period ending on 6th July 2005.

The Department has decided to cause a Public Local Inquiry to be held by the Planning Appeals Commission for the purpose of considering objections to the Draft Plan. The Planning (Development Plans) Regulations (NI) 1991, as amended, requires the Department to make copies of all objections to a development plan available for inspection prior to the Inquiry. Copies of all representations received during the 8-week period, including objections, may be inspected from 2pm on Tuesday 28th March 2006 to Tuesday 23rd May at Coleraine Sub-Divisional Planning Office, County Hall, Castlerock Road, Coleraine BT51 3HS and Londonderry Divisional Planning Office, Orchard House, 40 Foyle Street, Londonderry BT48 6AT during the following times:

Monday 10am – 4.30pm

Tuesday to Friday 9.30am–– 4.30pm

Copies of the representations will also be available on our website www.planningni.gov.uk

The Department is now inviting representations about objections to the Draft Plan which must be submitted, to the address below, in writing and received not later than 5.00pm on 23rd May 2006.

Anyone making a representation about an objection may also ask to be notified in writing of the Department’s decision in relation to their representation at such address as they specify. It should also be noted that such written representations will be available for public inspection and will be referred to at the Public Inquiry.

Representations about letters of support for the Draft Plan received during the 8-week period are not being invited and cannot be considered at the public inquiry.
