PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (NORTHERN IRELAND) REGULATIONS 2003

INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Whitemountain Quarries Limited has applied to the Chief Inspector for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the landfilling of wastes. The installation is located at Mullaghglass Quarry, Lisburn, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.

The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment.

Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Mullaghglass Landfill Site is held in a register at the following location:

35 Castle Street, Belfast, BT1 1GU

Members of the public can inspect this register free of charge at the above stated address during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the register can do so upon payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying.

Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Chief Inspector at the address below, within 42 days from the date of this public notice.

Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been such a request.
