Dunnalong Road, Strabane: Abandonment

The Department for Regional Development being of the opinion that another road is available which provides alternative facilities for road traffic proposes to make an Order under Article 68(1) and (5) of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993, the effect of which would be to abandon 179 square metres of Dunnalong Road, Strabane, adjacent to No. 115 Dunnalong Road, and extending from the main carriageway in a south-westerly direction in the townland of Gortmessan and County of Tyrone.

The area of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft of the order, may be inspected by any person free of charge at all reasonable hours during the period from 13 October 2005 to 24 November 2005 at the Department’s Roads Services offices, Headquarters, Room 201, Clarence Court, 10-18 Adelaide Street, Belfast BT2 8GB; Western Division, Section Office, Elm View, 47 Derry

Road, Strabane BT82 8BX and Boaz House, Scarffes Entry, Omagh BT79 1JE.

Any person may within the said period object to the proposal by written notice to Roads Service Headquarters at the address above stating the grounds of objection.
