Deletions from the European Pharmacopoeia
The Health Ministers, that is to say in respect of England, Scotland and Wales the Secretary of State concerned with health in England and in respect of Northern Ireland the Department1 of Health, Social Services and Public Safety, acting jointly, hereby declare under section 65(7) of the Medicines Act 1968 that on and after 1st January 2005 the monograph and other texts referred to in the Schedule hereto, which had been published under the direction of the Council of Europe (Partial Agreement) in accordance with the Convention on the Elaboration of a European Pharmacopoeia, shall cease to form part of the European Pharmacopoeia.

1The powers vested in the Minister in charge of the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety by virtue of section 95(5) of and paragraph 10 of Schedule 12 to the Northern Ireland Act 1998 (c.47) may now be exercised by that Department by virtue of section 1(8) of and paragraph 4(1)(b) of the Schedule to the Northern Ireland Act 2000 (c.1).
