Employment (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 (Commencement and Transitional Provisions) Order (Northern Ireland) 2004 – S.R. 2004 No. 150 (C. 7)

Notice is hereby given that the Department for Employment and Learning, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 1(2) and (3) of the Employment (Northern Ireland) Order 2003, and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, has made a Statutory Rule entitled the Employment (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 (Commencement and Transitional Provisions) Order (Northern Ireland) 2004 – S.R. 2004 No.150 (C. 7).

The Order brings into operation, on 31st March 2004, the provisions of the Employment (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 which relate to pre-hearing reviews and preliminary matters for both the Fair Employment Tribunal of Northern Ireland and the industrial tribunals. In addition it also commences provisions relating to statutory dispute resolution procedures on this date.

The Order also brings into operation, 30th April 2004, the provision of the Employment (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 relating to equal pay questionnaires.

In addition the Order also commences, on 1st May 2004, the provision of the Employment (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 relating to union learning representatives.
