Tappaghan Wind Farm (N.I.) Limited, which is 100% owned by Airtricity Holdings (U.K.) Limited, has applied to the Office for the Regulation of Electricity and Gas Northern Ireland for a licence to generate under Article 10(1)(a) of the Electricity (N.I.) Order 1992 as amended by the Energy (Northern Ireland) Order 2003. Tappaghan Wind Farm (N.I.) Limited, with a registered number of NI 047999 and a registered address of 50 Bedford Street, Belfast, BT2 7FW has a principal place of business at Unit B19, Omagh Business Complex, Great Northern Road, Omagh, Co. Tyrone, BT78 5LU. The directors of Tappaghan Wind Farm (N.I.) Limited are Louis FitzGerald, Edward O’Connor, Mark Ennis, Senan Murphy, Martin McAdam and Paul Dowling. It is intended that the licence is to take effect on the 1st of November 2004. The application for a licence to generate is made in relation to the construction of a wind farm on Tappaghan Mountain in the town land of Glenarn, near Lack, Co. Fermanagh. The generating station will be fuelled by wind and is expected to have a commissioning period of October 15th 2004 to November 30th 2004. The wind farm is to consist of thirteen G.E. Wind Turbines with a capacity of 1.5MW each resulting in a maximum power of 19.5MW. Planning permission, with a reference number of L/2002/1042/F, was issued on the 20th of August 2002. An application to N.I.E for grid connection was submitted on the 29th of September 2003. An application to D.E.T.I. Northern Ireland for the consent required for construction, extension or operation of generating stations under Article 39 of the electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 was submitted in December 2003.

Copies are available for inspection by the public between 10 am and 4 pm on any working day.
