TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2026

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 14(1) and 15(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE the following Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

CHEDGRAVE – U76342 Big Back Lane from its junction with C554 Norwich Road for 782 metres northwards to facilitate housing development construction works, the Road will be temporarily subject to the imposition of a one-way system (northbound) and the effect of this is that vehicles will only be allowed to travel in a northwards direction from 1st June 2026 to 31st May 2030. Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

CHEDGRAVE – U76332 Rectory Lane from its junction with C202 Langley Road to its junction with C554 Norwich Road to facilitate housing development construction works, the Road will be temporarily subject to the imposition of a one-way system (westbound) and the effect of this is that vehicles will only be allowed to travel in a westwards direction from 1st June 2026 to 31st May 2030. Alternative route is via: N/A. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

The effect of these Orders will be to restrict the use by vehicles on the named road. In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Alternative routes are shown where applicable and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
