On Thursday 16th April 2026 at 17:00hrs, an application was drafted on behalf of the Chief Constable of Cheshire Police for an order for the forfeiture of an unattended amount of cash totalling £6,000.00 recovered on 11th April 2026 on the Mount Pleasant Estate in Winsford.

I, DI Helen Williams, of the Financial Investigation Unit, Cheshire Police, a senior officer within the meaning of S.297A(6) of Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) am satisfied that the cash (plus any accrued interest) or part of it is;

a) Recoverable property and or

b) Intended by any person for use in unlawful conduct

as per S297A(2) POCA.

Any person may object to the proposed forfeiture within 30 days, starting with the day after the forfeiture hearing. Accordingly, the period for objecting to this notice expires on 16th May 2026.

Any objections must be made in writing to Financial Investigation Unit, Northwich Police Station, Chesterway, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 5EP.

If no objection is received at the above address within the prescribed period stated herein, the cash will be forfeited, if ordered by Warrington Magistrates Court, on 5th August 2026.
