1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent (‘the Council’) propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
(a) revise the hours of control at the existing parking places in Church Road referred to in the Schedule to this notice so that they would apply:
(i) between 8.30am and 6.30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays for vehicles using the “pay & display” or “pay by phone” methods of payment; and
(ii) between 6am and 6pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays for vehicles displaying a valid Market Trader permit;
(b) replace the “pay and display” parking places on the north-west side of Church Road (outside Nos. 189 to 203) with a continuous loading bay for goods vehicles only. The maximum stay at the loading bay would be 40 minutes provided that continuous loading / unloading is taking place, with no return within 2 hours;
(c) combine the existing “shared use” parking place and loading bay on the south-east side of Church Road (outside Nos. 210 to 218) to make a continuous loading bay;
(d) replace the “pay and display” parking place on the south-west side of Preston Gardens with a disabled persons’ “Blue Badge” parking place (13.2 metres in length). The bay would be available for use by vehicles displaying a valid disabled persons’ badge “at any time” without charge or time limit;
(e) introduce a 5 metre length of double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions on the west side of Preston Gardens (north of the disabled persons’ parking place referred to in paragraph (c) above);
(f) introduce nine “pay & display” / “pay-by-phone” parking spaces in the area on the north-west side of Church Road formerly known as Eric Road. The hours of control would be between 8.30am to 6.30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays with a maximum parking period of 4 hours;
(g) prohibit motor vehicles from entering the area referred to in paragraph (f) between 6am and 6.pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays;
(h) replace two “pay & display” parking spaces (10 metres) on the south-east side of the main carriageway of Church Road (outside No. 130, the Beulah Apostolic Church) with a “car club” parking place.
3. Copies of the proposed Orders and the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans indicating the proposals can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley HA9 0FJ.

5. Persons desiring to make representations or to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections, and the grounds thereof, via email to trafficorders@brent.gov.uk, or in the post to the Head of Healthy Streets and Parking, Healthy Streets and Parking Service, 6th Floor West Wing, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley HA9 0FJ, quoting the reference TO/25/148/GD, to arrive no later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
