THE ENFIELD (PARKING PLACES) (PAY AND DISPLAY) (VARIOUS ROADS) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield (the Council) made on 9 March 2026 the above Order under section 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis.

1. The general effect of the Orders which come into force on 19th March 2026 will be to:

(1) introduce “at any time” waiting restrictions on:

(a) Albany Road, the north side, outside No. 6 Albany Road.

(b) Chimes Avenue, both sides at the junction of Hazelwood Lane.

(c) Gatward Green, both sides, outside Nos. 48 to 51 Gatward Green.

(d) Hazelwood Lane, both sides at the junction of Lynbridge Gardens and Chimes Avenue.

(e) Lynbridge Gardens, both sides at the junction of Hazelwood Lane.

(f) Market Parade, the west side, south of No. 1 Market Parade.

(g) Nightingale Road, the east side, outside Nos. 85 and 87 Nightingale Road.

(h) Northfield Road, junction protection measures at the junctions with Chester Gardens, Mayfield Crescent, Norfolk Road, Oxford Road, Southfield Road, and Suffolk Road.

(2) introduce on Market Parade:

(i) an at any time 20-minute goods vehicle only loading bay outside Nos. 4-6 Market Parade.

(j) paid 2-hour limited waiting parking places on Market Parade operating Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6.30pm outside Nos. 1 to 3 Market Parade and Nos 6 to 9 Market Parade. The parking charges will be:

(3) remove footway parking exemptions in:

(a) Market Parade, the east side, between the junctions of Beechwood Mews and Church Street.

(b) Nightingale Road, the east side, outside Nos. 85 and 87 Nightingale Road

2. A copy of the Orders and other documents giving detailed particulars about them can be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, Monday to Fridays 9am – 5pm inclusive, or online at: https://new.enfield.gov.uk/services/roads-and-transport/traffic-management-orders/ or can also be obtained by emailing journeysandplaces@enfield.gov.uk or by writing to the Journeys and Places Team (quoting reference TG52/1606A) Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD) until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders were made.

3. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
