THE ISLINGTON (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*

THE ISLINGTON (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*

1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.

2) The general effect of the Orders would be to make the following changes:

a) on Linton Street at its junction with New North Road:

i) reduce the extent of the resident permit parking bays outside No. 69 Linton Street by 4 meters and outside No. 64 Linton Street by 5 meters and replace with ‘no waiting at any time’ restrictions;

ii) adjust the existing ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction to the new kerb layout by moving approximately 5.6 metres south-west;

iii) remove the existing ‘no entry’ restriction for traffic turning from New North Road into Linton Street and replace with bidirectional ‘no motor vehicle’ restrictions;

b) on New North Road at its junction with Linton Street, replace the existing ‘no waiting’ restriction with a ‘no waiting or loading at any time’ restriction.

3) A copy of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection. Copies of these documents may be obtained either by emailing environment@islington.gov.uk, by telephoning Environment on 020 7527 2000 or by sending a postal request to Environment, 1 Cottage Road, London N7 8TP. You can arrange an inspection in person by emailing environment@islington.gov.uk or calling 020 7527 2000.

4) Any person who wishes to object, or to make other representations about the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing, specifying the grounds on which they are made to Islington Environment, P O Box 2025, PERSHORE, WR10 9BU (quoting reference 8729) or by emailing environment@islington.gov.uk, within the period of twenty-one days from the date on which this Notice is published.
