Notice is hereby given that the above order was made on 14th January 2026 and is about to be submitted to the Welsh Ministers for confirmation.

The effect of the order will be to constitute the land to which the order relates as a National Park.

The order relates to land situated in the counties of Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Powys and Wrexham.

A certified copy of the order and the map referred to therein has been deposited for public inspection at each of the places mentioned below and will be open for inspection free of charge during normal opening hours, until the 15th of February 2026.

Any person or organisation may object to the Order or make representations. Further guidance is available on how to make an objection or representation at the deposit locations and on the Natural Resources Body for Wales website: https://ymgynghori.cyfoethnaturiol.cymru/north-east-gogledd-ddwyrain/new-national-park-proposal-information-page-wales/. Any such objection or representation should arrive no later than 15th February 2026. Objections, representations or comments cannot be treated as confidential. Details will be given of where and when these can be examined, if a public inquiry is held into the Order.

(If the National Park designation is confirmed by the Welsh Ministers Natural Resources Wales proposes to also make an order under section 82 of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 to revoke the existing Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty designation as an area cannot have dual designation as both a National Park and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The revocation order alongside any representations will be submitted to the Welsh Ministers for confirmation at the same time as the National Park designation order.

Representations regarding this intended revocation may be made in the same manner and within the same timeframe as representations regarding the National Park designation.)

(Os caiff dynodiad y Parc Cenedlaethol ei gadarnhau gan Weinidogion Cymru, mae Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru yn bwriadu gwneud gorchymyn hefyd o dan adran 83 o Ddeddf Cefn Gwlad a Hawliau Tramwy 2000 i ddirymu'r dynodiad Ardal o Harddwch Naturiol Eithriadol presennol, gan na all ardal fod â dynodiad deuol fel Parc Cenedlaethol ac Ardal o Harddwch Naturiol Eithriadol. Bydd y gorchymyn dirymu, ochr yn ochr ag unrhyw sylwadau, yn cael ei gyflwyno i Weinidogion Cymru i'w gadarnhau ar yr un pryd â gorchymyn dynodi’r Parc Cenedlaethol.
