That on the 28th January 2025 a quantity of cash, namely £1,530.00 was seized from Michael CASEY who’s current whereabouts is unknown, together with £9,990.00 seized from a vehicle in which he was found.

I, Accredited Financial Investigator DC 3750 Stuart Goodyear give notice that I intend to apply for an order under Section 298 (2) of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) for the forfeiture of the £1,530.00 and £9,990.00 together with any interest accrued thereon pursuant to Section 296 (1) of the Act, on the grounds that this said cash is:

a) Recoverable property; or

b) Is intended by any person for use in unlawful conduct

As per Section 297A (2) POCA.

The hearing will be held at West Hampshire Magistrates Court on 12th January 2026 at 2:00pm.

Should Michael CASEY or any other interested third parties wish to contest the forfeiture application, then they should inform, in writing, to DC 3750 Stuart Goodyear of the Financial Investigation Unit, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, Southern Support and Training HQ, Hamble Lane, Hampshire SO31 4TS and West Hampshire Magistrates Court, 100 The Avenue, Southampton, Hampshire SO17 1EY, before 12th January 2026.

If no objection is received prior to the hearing, then an application for forfeiture of the £1,530.00 and £9,990.00 will be made in his/their absence.
