PROPOSED ZEBRA CROSSING – WHITE HART LANE N17

THE HARINGEY (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.***) ORDER 202*

T25

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey proposes to make the above mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and to implement a Zebra Crossing on White Hart Lane N17 under Section 23 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The general effect of the Order would be to: -

1) To amend approximately 41 metres of the existing restricted parking zone on both sides of White Hart Lane N17, from a point approximately 8 metres east from the common boundary of No.52/50, heading west. These changes are required to facilitate the installation of a zebra crossing as detailed below.

2) To extend the existing restricted parking zone on White Hart Lane N17 westwards up to and including the White Hart Lane/Creighton Road mini roundabout. These changes are purely administrative which will result in no physical changes on site.

The parking changes detailed in item 1 above are required to facilitate the installation of the proposed Zebra Crossing and associated zig-zag markings on White Hart Lane N17, on which vehicles would be prohibited from stopping at all times. These will be placed on the carriageway either side of the crossing for approximately 16 metres in both directions. The centre of the crossing will be located approximately 14 metres west from the centre of the junction with Love Lane (outside property No.52) with the width between the crossing give way lines at approximately 7 metres.
