THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT AREA) (AMENDMENT NO. 246) ORDER 2025
SHAEF WAY & SANDY LANE, TEDDINGTON ZONE T2 EXTENSION

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on 22 October 2025 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46 and 49 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Orders will come into force on 27 October 2025.
2. The general effect of the Parking Places Order will be to introduce an extension to the T2 Controlled Parking Zone in lengths of Shaef Way and Sandy Lane; a Permit Parking Area will be introduced in Shaef Way and a length of permit parking bays will be introduced in Sandy Lane. The Controlled Parking Zone will operate between 10am and 12 Noon on Mondays to Fridays inclusive.
3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions operating between 10am and 12 Noon on Mondays to Fridays at any time in lengths of Shaef Way and Sandy Lane
4. Within the zone, there will be designated permit holder only parking places and permit parking areas where only vehicles which display a valid permit may park during the controlled hours.
5. Copies of the Orders, a plan showing the location and effect of the Orders and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders: -
(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 25/055, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and
(b) may be viewed on the Council’s web-site at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/public_notices.
6. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
