1. NOTICE IS GIVEN The London Borough of Ealing that they have proposed the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the proposed Order would be to: -

(1) on Lady Margaret’s Road (Ruislip Road to No. 44 Lady Margaret’s Road): (a) the south-east side, introduce a north-eastbound bus lane between Neal Avenue and Ruislip Road (operational Mondays to Saturdays 7am – 7pm) cycles and taxis to be exempted; introduce double yellow lines within the same length as the proposed bus lane, substitute all existing parking places with double yellow lines; (b) the north-west side, amend lengths of existing double yellow lines to match the bus stop amendment; substitute all existing parking places with double yellow lines;

(2) on Balmoral Drive; Hillside; Neal Avenue; Kenilworth Gardens; Woodstock Avenue, at their junctions with Lady Margarets Road to impose double yellow lines (junction protection);

(3) relocate an existing bike hangar from Lady Margaret’s Road to Kenilworth Gardens, the south side, near its junction with Adrienne Avenue;

(4) amend the Ealing (Prescribed Routes) (Pedestrian & Cycle Zone) (Orchard House School) (No. 1) Order 2025 to remove erroneous address entries that are not part of the existing School Streets Order, the resultant as stated within the Schedule to this Notice.

3. FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN The London Borough of Ealing in exercise of the powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to substitute 4 existing zebra crossing with parallel crossings and associated zig-zag markings on Lady Margaret’s Road to be located:

(1) centre point is 98.8 metres north-east of the northern-eastern kerb-line of Woodstock Avenue, 37.8 metres south-west of & 5.0 metres north-east of;

(2) centre of crossing is 27.0 metres south-west of the northern-eastern kerb-line of Woodstock Avenue, 14.0 south-west of & 14.0 metres north-east of;

(3) centre of crossing is 24.7 metres south-west of the northern-eastern kerb-line of Kenilworth Gardens, 14.0 metres south of & 14.0 metres north of;

(4) centre of crossing is 25.7 metres south-west of the northern-eastern kerb-line of Balmoral Drive, 20.8 metres south-west of & 16.5 metres to the north-east of.

4. FURTHER NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN The London Borough of Ealing in exercise of the powers under the Highways Act 1980 intends to on Lady Margaret’s Road (Ruislip Road to No. 44 Lady Margaret’s Road): (a) the south-east side, convert sections of the footway to a shared surface for cycling and pedestrian traffic; (b) the north-west side, convert sections of the footway to a shared surface for cycling and pedestrian traffic.

5. The intention and proposal, other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders including plans, are available by e-mail from ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or by inspection at Staff Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made, or the Council decides not to make the Orders.

6. Any objections or other representations about either of the intended crossings, or the proposed Orders should be sent in writing by e-mail to ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or by post to Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL, quoting reference P052-25 until the 29 October 2025. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should include the address of the author.
