INTRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BAYS AND CHARGING POINTS – VARIOUS LOCATIONS WITHIN THE LONDON BOROUGH BARNET

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under section 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers and proposes to install electric vehicle charging points under section 16 of the London Local Authorities and Transport for London Act 2013
1. The general effect of the above Orders would be:-
(a) to provide parking places which may be used free of charge by electrically propelled vehicles that are being charged with electrical power, operational ‘at any time’ on Mondays to Sundays inclusive for a maximum stay period of 3 hours, in the locations detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.
(b) to formally install electric vehicle charging points adjacent to the proposed parking places, as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
Although parking in the electric vehicle bays is free of charge there is normally a cost involved in the use of the adjacent electric vehicle charging points.
A copy of the proposed Orders, associated plan of the relevant areas and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be obtained, inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 7th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to object to or comment on the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection/comments, and quoting reference number SCR671 EV Bays, to the Design Team, London Borough of Barnet, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale NW9 4EW, via the Barnet TraffWeb website or via email to parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk within 21 days of the date of this Notice.

Outside the common boundary of No.830 to No.828 High Road, N12 (6.5 meters), (Convert part of an existing loading bay (operating Mon – Sat 08:00am to 10:00am & 16:00pm to 18:30pm) and a limited waiting bay (operating Mon – Sat 10:00am to 16:00pm), Outside the common boundary of No.812 to No.810 High Road, N12 (6.5 meters) (Convert part of an existing pay and display parking bay operating Monday to Saturday 08:00am to 6.30pm)
