THE ISLINGTON (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. 15) ORDER 2025
1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington, on 7 August 2025, made the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, and of all other powers thereunto enabling.
2) The general effect of the Orders which come into effect on 8 August 2025 would be to:
a) Replace the existing no waiting restriction with a no waiting or loading at any time restriction outside No. 67 Essex Road (15m);
b) Introduce a no loading at any time restriction on the existing double yellow line outside No. 1 Macdonald Road (17.2m);
c) Introduce a 5m loading restriction (7-10am, 2-4pm, 4.45-7pm) outside No. 5 Penton Street;
d) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay outside No.46 (6m) and No. 132 (5.5m) Ashbrook Road;
e) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay outside No .3 Barnsbury Park (5.5m);
f) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay outside No. 54 Bemerton Street (5.5m);
g) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay outside No. 83 Crayford Road (5.7m);
h) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay opposite No. 10 Fortnam Road (6.0m);
i) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay outside No. 15 Granville Square (6.0m);
j) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay outside No. 6 Halliford Street (6.6m);
k) Remove the existing disabled bay outside No. 1 to 35 Riversdene Highbury Quadrant and replace with a resident bay and introduce a dedicated disabled bay opposite No. 361 Highbury Quadrant (6.6m);
l) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay outside No. 187 Magdala Avenue (6.0m);
m) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay opposite No. 5 Moreland Street (5.5m);
n) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay Southwestern side of No. 36 Nicholay Road (5.5m);
o) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay outside No. 55 Rawstorne Street (6.0m);
p) Introduce a dedicated disabled bay outside No. 6 Southern Street (6m);
q) Remove the existing disabled bay outside No. 9 and replace with a dedicated disabled bay outside No. 13 Stonenest Street (5.5m).
r) To clarify that where no time period is specified on map schedules, restricted and prescribed hours apply at any time.
s) Make a minor amendment to the TMO articles to reference specific permit numbers for doctors’ bays at each parking location; and make minor amendments to the map schedules so that they accurately reflect the on-street parking layout. These amendments will not result in changes on-street.
3) A copy of the made Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection. 4) Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it or they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, may make application for the purpose to the High Court within six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made.
