CHANGES TO PARKING PLACES AND PROVISION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROVISION OF SECURE BICYCLE PARKING STRUCTURES – BATCH 19

Note: (This notice is about the provision of secure bicycle parking structures and reducing the length of certain parking places in controlled parking zones to accommodate those structures) (T29(25))

THE WALTHAM FOREST (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the LBWF propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984), as amended.

The general effect of the Orders would be to convert 3 metres of permit parking space to allow for the provision of secure bicycle parking structures (“units”) on the highway in the following roads under section 63 of the RTRA 1984. Some Cycle Hangars will be placed where waiting restrictions exist as stated. The proposed permit parking spaces to be displaced will default to "at any time" waiting restrictions where the cycle hangar will be provided. 1 unit is proposed in each road below unless otherwise stated:

*[Note: If these proposals were to go ahead then it is intended that any proposal in a location referred to in this Notice that is within an experimental CPZ would not proceed until such time and under such circumstances as the provisions of the experimental Traffic Order for the CPZ in question were continued in force indefinitely by way of a permanent Traffic Order. Roads that are currently within an experimental CPZ are indicated with ‘*’]
