The Welsh Ministers propose to make an Order under sections1(1), 2(1) and (2)(a), 82(2)(a), 83(1), 84(1)(a) and (2) and 124(1)(d) of, and paragraph 27 of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to prohibit and restrict vehicles on the length of the A40 trunk road from Llanddewi Velfrey to Redstone Cross in Pembrokeshire as described in the Schedules to this Notice.

The A40 Trunk Road (Llanddewi Velfrey, Pembrokeshire) (50MPH Speed Limit) Order 2004 will be varied by the proposed Order.

During a period of 21 days from 30 July 2025, a copy of the proposed Order, plans and a Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected free of charge, during normal opening hours at the A40 Llanddewi Velfrey to Redstone Cross Site Offices, Parc-y-Delyn, Llanddewi Velfrey, SA67 7PA and Queens Hall, 44 High Street, Narberth, SA67 7AS, or can be viewed on the Welsh Government’s website at https://gov.wales/road-orders, or may be obtained free of charge from the address below quoting reference number qA2292914.

Objections, specifying the grounds on which they are made, must be sent by e-mail to TransportOrdersBranch@gov.wales or in writing to Orders Branch, Transport, Welsh Government, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ by 20 August 2025.

That length of the trunk road from a point 71 metres northeast of the centre of Penblewin Roundabout to a point 82 metres southwest of the centre of Penblewin Roundabout including the circulatory carriageway of the Penblewin Roundabout.

That length of the A40 running south of and parallel to the trunk road from a point 65 metres east of the centre of Penblewin Roundabout to a point 50 metres east of the centre of Penblewin Roundabout.
