INTRODUCTION OF ‘DOCKLESS’ CYCLE AND E-SCOOTER HIRE PARKING PLACES

THE CAMDEN (PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES AND WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO. ) ORDER 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Camden proposes to make the above Order under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general nature and effect of the Order would be:

(a) in Albert Street, on the north-east side, at the side of No. 25 Delancey Street, remove 6.8 metres of existing paid-for parking place in order to (i) extend the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place by 6.8 metres; (ii) relocate the 2.7-metre length of existing single yellow line ‘controlled hours’ waiting restrictions that accommodate a pedal cycle hangar so that it is immediately south-east of the extended cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(b) in Ampton Street, on the north-west side, outside No. 30 Ampton Street, replace the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place with zone ‘D’ resident permit parking place;

(c) in Bedford Way, on the south-west side, opposite the Royal National Hotel remove the north-westernmost 15.0 metres of paid-for parking place and replace it with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(d) in Bernard Street, on the north side, opposite No. 15 Bernard Street, replace the westernmost 5.0 metres of existing zone ‘D’ resident permit parking place with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(e) in Bury Place, on the north-east side outside Nos. 1 to 3 Russell Chambers, (i) replace the existing paid-for parking place with a Doctors permit parking place; (ii) replace the north-westernmost 5.1 metres of the existing Doctors permit parking place with a zone ‘C’ resident permit parking place; (iii) replace the south-easternmost 5.1 metres of the existing Doctors permit parking place with a paid-for parking place; and (iv) replace the existing zone ‘C’ resident permit parking place with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(f) in Cartwright Gardens, on the north side, opposite No. 58-60, replace the easternmost 5.5 metres of existing zone ‘D’ resident permit parking place with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(g) in Charlotte Street, on the south-west side, (i) remove the existing 10.2-metre zone ‘E’ resident permit parking place outside Nos. 55 to 59 Charlotte Street and replace it with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place; (ii) remove the existing 10.8-metre Doctors permit parking place outside Nos. 61 to 65 Charlotte Street and replace it with a zone ‘E’ resident permit parking place;

(h) in Coptic Street, on the north-east side, remove the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place outside No. 33 Coptic Street and replace it with a zone ‘C’ resident permit parking place;

(i) in Downshire Hill, on the south-east side, remove the existing paid-for parking place that lies between South End Road and East Heath Road and replace it with (i) a 5.9-metre cycle and e-scooter hire parking place; and (ii) a 1.6-metre length of no waiting at any time restriction, indicated by double yellow line;

(j) in Earlham Street, on the north side, outside No. 41 Earlham Street, replace the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place with a zone ‘C’ resident permit parking place;

(k) in Endsleigh Gardens, on the south-east side, outside Bentham House, remove the existing paid-for parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(l) in England’s Lane, on the south-east side, opposite Nos. 6 to 10 England’s Lane, remove 12.0 metres of the existing zone ‘B’ resident permit parking place and replace it with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(m) in Fordwych Road, (i) on the north-east side, outside No. 249 Fordwych Road, remove the north-westernmost 2.5 metres of the zone ‘Q’ permit holders parking place and replace it with no waiting at any time restriction, indicated by double yellow line; (ii) on the south-west side, at the side of No. 35 Richborough Road, remove the existing 16.0-metre zone ‘Q’ permit holders parking place and replace it with (A) a 1.0 metre extension of the existing no waiting at any time restriction, indicated by double yellow line; and (B) 15.0 metres of cycle and e-scooter hire parking place; and (iii) on the south-west side, opposite No. 241 Fordwych Road, remove the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing zone ‘Q’ permit holders parking place;

(n) in Guilford Street, on the north-west side, opposite No. 20 Guilford Street, (i) remove the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place located on the footway; and (ii) remove the north-easternmost 9.1 metres of the existing paid-for parking place and replace it with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(o) in Hatton Garden, on the east side, outside Nos. 25 to 27 Hatton Garden, remove the southernmost 17 metres of existing paid-for parking place and replace it with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(p) in Mercer Street, on the north-east side, at the side of the Chinese Church in London, replace the existing zone ‘C’ resident permit parking place with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(q) in Mill Lane, on the south side, opposite No. 9 Mill Lane, remove the westernmost 8.0 metres of existing zone ‘P/Q’ resident permit parking place and replace it with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(r) in Millfield Lane, on the north-east side, (i) outside No. 25 Millfield Lane, remove the north-westernmost 11.0 metres of existing shared use (paid-for and zone ‘U’ permit holders) parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place; (ii) outside Nos. 34 and 36 Millfield Lane, remove 15.0 metres of existing shared use (paid-for and zone ‘U’ permit holders) parking place and replace it with (A) a 12.3-metre length of cycle and e-scooter hire parking place; and (B) a 2.7-metre length of cycle stand; (iv) outside No. 24 Millfield Lane, remove the existing 5.3-metre cycle and e-scooter hire parking place and replace it with a zone ‘U’ permit holders parking place;

(s) in Percy Street, on the south-east side, outside Nos. 3 and 4 Percy Street, remove the south-westernmost 8.0 metres of paid-for parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(t) in Primrose Gardens, on the north-east side, at the side of No. 26 England’s Lane, remove the existing 5.5-metre cycle and e-scooter hire parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing zone ‘B’ resident permit parking place;

(u) in Queen Square (north-eastern arm), on the north-east side, at the side of Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine, remove the south-easternmost 5.2 metres of the existing paid-for parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(v) in Ravenshaw Street, on the north-east side, at the side of No. 44 Mill Lane, remove the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing zone ‘P’ permit holders parking place;

(w) in Red Lion Square (north arm), on the south-eastern side, opposite No. 33 Red Lion Square, remove the north-easternmost 4.2 metres of existing zone ‘D’ resident permit parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(x) in Richborough Road, on the north-west side, at the side of No. 102 Cricklewood Broadway, remove the south-westernmost 10.8 metres of the existing paid-for parking place and replace it with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(y) in Sidmouth Street, on the south-east side, at the side of 211 Grays Inn Road, remove the south-westernmost 10.0 metres of existing zone ‘D’ resident permit parking place and replace it with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(z) in Skardu Road, on the south-east side, at the side of No. 60 Cricklewood Broadway, remove the north-easternmost 10.0 metres of existing paid-for parking place and replace it with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(aa) in South Hill Park, on the north-west side opposite Hampstead Heath Overground station, remove the south-westernmost 7.6 metres of existing paid-for parking place and replace it with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(bb) in St Chad’s Street, on the north-west side, outside No. 1 St Chad’s Street, remove the north-easternmost 5.0 metres of existing paid-for parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(cc) in University Street, on the north-west side, opposite the Grant Museum of Zoology, remove the north-easternmost 15.0 metres of existing zone ‘E’ resident permit parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(dd) in Westbere Road, (i) on the north-east side, outside No. 80 Westbere Road, remove the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing zone ‘P’ resident permit parking place; (ii) on the south-west side, opposite Nos. 66 and 68 Westbere Road, remove a 10.0 metre length of existing shared use (paid-for and zone ‘P’ permit holders) parking place and replace it with an cycle and e-scooter hire parking place;

(ee) in Whitfield Street, on the north-east side, (i) outside Nos. 108 and 110 Whitfield Street, remove the existing zone 6.0-metre ‘E’ resident permit parking place and the north-westernmost 3.0 metres of Doctors permit parking place and replace them with a 9.0-metre extension of the existing cycle and e-scooter hire parking place; (ii) outside Nos. 104 to 108 Whitfield Street, remove the remaining 7.0 metres of existing Doctors permit parking place and replace it with an extension of the existing zone ‘E’ resident permit parking place.
