THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (PARKING PLACES) (C ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*
THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be, in connection with the introduction of a parallel pedestrian and cycle crossing on Westbourne Terrace Road Bridge, to:
(a) introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions at the junction of Delamere Terrace, Warwick Crescent, Westbourne Terrace Road and Westbourne Terrace Road Bridge (certain parking places would be shortened as part of these introduced restrictions as set out in paragraphs (c), (d) and (e) below);
(b) introduce 29.5 metres of “at any time” loading restrictions on the north side of Warwick Crescent, extending eastward from its junction with Westbourne Terrace Road Bridge;
(c) shorten the residents’ parking place on the south side of Warwick Crescent, adjacent to No. 14 Westbourne Terrace Road, by 5 metres at its western end;
(d) shorten the pay-by-phone parking place outside The Bridge House, No. 13 Westbourne Terrace Road by 6.1 metres (1 bay) at its northern end; and
(e) shorten the residents’ parking place outside No. 14 Westbourne Terrace Road by 4.8 metres at its northern end.
3. FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council, in accordance with the provisions of section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intends to introduce a parallel pedestrian and cycle crossing on Westbourne Terrace Road Bridge, at its junction with Delamere Terrace, Warwick Crescent and Westbourne Terrace Road which, together with its associated zig-zag markings, would extend 28.2 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerb-line of Delamere Terrace and 14.4 metres south-west of that kerb-line.
4. As part of this scheme, it is proposed that shared-use footways would be created for cyclists and pedestrians at the north-western and north-eastern corners of the junction of Delamere Terrace, Warwick Crescent, Westbourne Terrace Road and Westbourne Terrace Road Bridge. These footway amendments would facilitate cycle access between Delamere Terrace and the Little Venice Canal Path by means of the parallel pedestrian and cycle crossing on Westbourne Terrace Road Bridge.
5. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays).
