THE CROYDON (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF STOPPING, LOADING AND WAITING) AND (FREE PARKING PLACES) (NO. 11) ORDER 2025

THE CROYDON (ON-STREET CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (NO. 11) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 23 June 2025 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:

a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 21 Curzon Road, Thornton Heath, No. 20 Elm Park Road, South Norwood, No. 57 Grasmere Road, South Norwood, No. 9 Hare’s Bank, New Addington, No. 15 Kings Walk, South Croydon, No. 15 Lyconby Gardens, Croydon, Queens Court, Colliers Water Lane, Thornton Heath, No. 50 Raymead Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 6 Sandown Road, South Norwood, No. 7 Wentworth Road, Croydon, No. 24 Wentworth Road, Croydon, and No. 2 Wharfedale Gardens, Thornton Heath.

b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

Beauchamp Road, Upper Norwood: Outside No. 49

Camden Gardens, Thornton Heath: Adjacent to No. 36 in the inset parking bay (bay at 90 degrees to the kerb).

Cecil Road, Croydon: Opposite No. 1 (replaces one space in a permit/payment bay)

Churchill Road, South Croydon: Outside No. 12 and partially across the frontage of No. 10

Coldharbour Road, Croydon: Outside No. 77 and partially across the frontage of No. 75 (partial footway bay)

Darcy Road, Norbury: Outside No. 8

Elm Road, Thornton Heath: Outside No. 9 and partially across the frontage of No. 10 (replaces one space in a permit/payment bay)

Estcourt Road, South Norwood: Outside No. 105 and partially across the frontage of No. 103

Grange Park Road, Thornton Heath: Outside No. 72 (partial footway bay)

Guildford Road, Croydon: Outside No. 5 and partially across the frontage of No. 7 (replaces one space in a permit/payment bay)

Leslie Park Road, Croydon: Outside No. 62a and partially across the frontage of No. 63 (replaces one space in a permit/payment bay)

Morland Road, Croydon: Outside No. 241

Netley Close, New Addington: Outside No. 14 (replaces one space in a free partial footway bay)

Oliver Avenue, South Norwood: Outside No. 18

Rydons Wood Close, Coulsdon: Outside No. 1 (partial footway bay)

Sussex Road, South Croydon: Outside No. 75b and partially across the frontage of No.77 (replaces one space in a permit/payment bay)

Templeman Close, Purley: Outside Nos. 5-7, immediately adjacent to the cul-de-sac turning/parking area at the end of Templeman Close

Tudor Road, South Norwood: Adjacent to the flank wall of No. 86 Grasmere Road

West Street, Croydon: Outside No. 37 and partially across the frontage of No. 38 (replaces one space in a permit/payment bay)

c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

2. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 30 June 2025 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, by appointment with the Parking Design Team, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Wetherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (telephone 020 8726 6000 and ask for Parking Design). Alternatively all related documents or further informationcan be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

3. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
