The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (North East) (No.9) Order 2025" authorising the stopping up the whole of the unnamed highway, including 2 turning heads, leading off William Armstrong Way at Sedgefield, in the County of Durham. This is to enable development as permitted by Durham County Council, under reference DM/24/01243/RM.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/NE/S247/5999). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Sedgefield Library, Front Street, Sedgefield, Stockton on Tees, TS21 3AT.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 4 June 2025.
