Mae Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet dros yr Economi, Ynni a Chynllunio, un o Weinidogion Cymru, yn rhoi hysbysiad o dan adrannau 14(1)(b) a (2A) o Ddeddf Trafnidiaeth a Gweithfeydd 1992 ("y Ddeddf") ei bod wedi penderfynu gwneud Gorchymyn Rheilffordd Fynydd Aberhonddu (Trosglwyddo) 2025 ("y Gorchymyn"), gydag addasiadau, o dan adran 13(1) o'r Ddeddf.

Gwnaed cais am y Gorchymyn gan y Vale of Rheidol Railway Limited o Goedlan y Parc, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Cymru SY23 1PG. Bydd yn galluogi pwerau a rhwymedigaethau statudol yng Ngorchymyn Rheilffordd Aberhonddu (Rheilffordd Ysgafn) 1980 i gael eu trosglwyddo o'r Brecon Mountain Railway Company Limited i'r Vale of Rheidol Railway Limited. Yn unol ag adran 14(1)(a) o'r Ddeddf, mae Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet dros yr Economi, Ynni a Chynllunio wedi rhoi hysbysiad o'i phenderfyniad drwy gyfrwng llythyr penderfyniad dyddiedig 19 o Fai 2025. The Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning, one of the Welsh Ministers, gives notice under sections 14(1)(b) and (2A) of the Transport and Works Act 1992 ("the Act") of their decision under section 13(1) of the Act to make with modifications The Brecon Mountain Railway (Transfer) Order 2025 (“the Order”).

The Order was applied for by the Vale of Rheidol Railway Limited of Park Avenue, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, Wales SY23 1PG. It will enable the transfer of powers and statutory obligations in the Brecon Mountain (Light Railway) Order 1980 from the Brecon Mountain Railway Company Limited to the Vale of Rheidol Railway Limited. The Order, once made, may be found at https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ or can be obtained from the Stationery Office at https://www.tso.co.uk/.

The Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning has, pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Act, given notice of their determination by way of a decision letter, dated 19 May 2025, copies of which may be obtained from Decisions Branch, Planning Directorate, Welsh Government, Crown Buildings, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ or by emailing Planning.Directorate@gov.wales. That letter gives the reasons for the determination; the considerations upon which it is based; information about the public participation process; and information regarding the right to challenge the validity of the determination and the procedures for doing so.
