PRESS NOTICE

THE A82 TRUNK ROAD (BALCHRAGGAN) (CLEARWAY) ORDER 202[ ]

THE SCOTTISH MINISTERS hereby give notice that they propose to makethe above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will have the effect of imposing a clearway on that length of the A82 Dalnottar – Fort William – Inverness Trunk Road from a point 3.12 kilometres or thereby north-east of the extended centreline of the A83, generally in a north easterly direction to a point 970 metres or thereby in a north easterly direction of the extended centreline of the C1072 Abriachan to Foxhole Road, a distance of 6.97 kilometres or thereby.

Full details of the proposal are contained in the Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road involved and a statement of the Scottish Ministers’ reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined free of charge during normal business hours from 23rd May 2025 until 16th June 2025 at Scotmid Coop, Drumnadrochit, 1 Carris Croft, W Lewiston, Inverness, IV63 6AG and Glenurquhart Library and Learning Centre, 48 Balmacaan Road, Drumnadrochit, Inverness, IV63 6UR and at the offices of Transport Scotland, 177 Bothwell Street Glasgow G2 7ER.

A copy of the Order and this Notice will be available on the Transport Scotland website at: https://www.transport.gov.scot/NorthWestRoadOrders

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds for objection in writing to the Director of Roads, c/o Lynn Battison, Transport Scotland, 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, G2 7ER reference NW/A82/LB or by email to TRO-Objections@transport.gov.scot by 16th June 2025.
