Notice is hereby given that the Welsh Ministers intend to introduce the 2025 Regulations, in accordance with section 140 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, to amend the Environmental Protection (Single-use Vapes) (Wales) Regulations 2024 (the “2024 Regulations”), which will come into force on 1 June 2025.

The 2025 Regulations, which will come into force on 19 June 2025, introduce a provision to the 2024 Regulations, which empowers regulators to retain seized single-use vapes (or their components) for the purposes of complying with any direction given by the Welsh Ministers under Regulation 12 of the 2024 Regulations.
