THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (G ZONE) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 202*

THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 202*

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be, in connection with public realm improvements in Henrietta Street, to:

(a) introduce 18.6 metres of double yellow line “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions on the north-east side of Bedford Street, extending across its junction with Henrietta Street;

(b) extend “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions throughout Henrietta Street, except in signed goods vehicle loading bays (see paragraph (c) below);

(c) remove the existing goods vehicle loading bays outside Nos. 12-13 and No. 34A Henrietta Street and introduce four new goods vehicle loading bays, aligned parallel to the kerb, at the following locations:

(i) the north-west side, outside Nos. 28 and 29 (12 metres);

(ii) the north-west side, outside No. 34A (12.4 metres);

(iii) the south-east side, outside Nos. 7 and 8 (12.4 metres); and

(iv) the south-east side, outside Nos. 17-18 and No. 19 (12 metres);

(The new goods vehicle loading bays would operate between 7.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. with a maximum stay of 20 minutes and no return within 1 hour. Waiting and loading would be restricted in the loading bays between 11.00 a.m. on any given day and 7.00 a.m. on the following day);

(d) relocate the start of the motor vehicle prohibition outside No. 26 Southampton Street (signed as a Pedestrian and Cycle Zone) north-westward by 20.4 metres towards its junction with Henrietta Street; and

(e) introduce “at any time” loading restrictions in Southampton Street, at its junction with Henrietta Street.

3. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
