THE HACKNEY (PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO.*) ORDER 2025 THE HACKNEY (PRESCRIBED ROUTES AND 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO.**) ORDER 2025

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Hackney proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended;

The general effect of the Orders will be as follows;

Birkbeck Road

a) Introduce a pedestrian zone from the junction with Winchester Place for a distance of 97.5m northwards with no access to vehicles. Except for Emergency service vehicles and authorised vehicles being used for emergency services, Hackney waste services and T3 permit holders 5.00-9.30am and 3.30-8pm.

b) Introduce loading restrictions on the east side of Birbeck Road. No Loading 8pm-5am. except by T3 permit holders 5.00-9.30am and 3.30-8pm only, for a maximum 1 hour no return within 1 hour.

Ridley Road

a) Introduce a pedestrian zone from the junction with Kingsland High Street for a distance of 35m eastwards with no access to vehicles “at any time”.

b) Introduce a pedestrian zone 35m east of Kingsland High Street to the junction with St Mark’s Rise with no access to vehicles between 5am-8pm. Except for Emergency service vehicles and authorised vehicles being used for emergency services, Hackney waste services T3 & T4 permit holders 5am-9.30am and 3.30pm-8pm.

Alternatively Such documents can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays, in the visitor’s reception area, London Borough of Hackney, Hackney Service Centre, 1 Hillman Street, London, E8 1DY by appointment only.

3. Any objections or other representations about either of the orders should be sent in writing to Streetscene – Networks Team at the address specified in paragraph 2 above or emailed to streetscene.consultations@hackney.gov.uk within 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
