LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton propose to make the following Order The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. * ) Order 202* under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 insofar as applicable and all other powers thereunto enabling as of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended –
2. The principal objectives of the proposed Order are;
(a) to introduce disabled bays to provide a parking facility for disabled persons where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult, and
(b) revoke those parking bays that are no longer required;
3. The general effect of the Orders would be to:-
(a) provide new disabled person’s parking places, 6.6 metres in length, in which vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park at any time, at the following locations:-
(i) adjacent 90 Brabazon Avenue, Wallington;
(ii) outside Nos 24 to 26 Beauchamp Road, Sutton (in place of existing Permit Holder only bay operating Monday to Saturday 8am to 6,30pm);
(iii) outside No. 349 Middleton Road, Carshalton (in place of existing uncontrolled footway parking bay 4 wheels on the footway);
(iv) outside No. 18 The Chase, Wallington; and
(v) adjacent No. 2 Wandle Road, Beddington positioned on Richmond Road, Beddington (in place of existing uncontrolled footway parking bay 2 wheels on the footway)
(b) provide a new disabled person’s parking place positioned 4.2 metres in length and a width of 3.6 metres in which vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park at any time, outside No.10 Freshwood Way, Wallington
(c) revoke existing disabled person’s parking places at the following locations:-
(i) outside No. 5 Benhill Road, Sutton (reverts to a Permit Holder only bay operating Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm);
(ii) outside Nos. 37 to 43 Fryston Avenue Coulsdon;
(iii) outside No. 417, Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton (reverts to an uncontrolled parking place (4 wheels on the footway); and
(iv) outside No. 90 Westminster Road, Carshalton
4. Copies of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and draft map schedules showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected at the Council’s Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.
5.
