1. The London Borough of Hounslow GIVES NOTICE in exercise of the powers under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to:-

a) Introduce Zebra Crossings and associated zig-zag markings in the following locations:

a. Vicarage Farm Road, Heston:-

i. North-western kerb line, from a point 3.1 metres south of the building line between Nos. 114 and 116 Vicarage Farm Road in a north-eastern direction to a point 3.2 metres south of the building line between Nos.118 and 120 Vicarage Farm Road;

ii. North-western kerb line, from the building line between Nos. 255 and 257 Vicarage Farm Road in a north-eastern direction to a point 2.0 metres south of the north-eastern building line of No.261 Vicarage farm Road;

iii. North-western kerb line, from a point 2.0 metres south of the building line between Nos.186 and 188 Vicarage Farm Road in a north-eastern direction to the south-western building line of No.269 Vicarage Farm Road;

iv. South-eastern kerb line, from a point 3.1 metres south of the building line between Nos. 114 and 116 Vicarage Farm Road in a north-eastern direction to a point 3.2 metres south of the building line between Nos.118 and 120 Vicarage Farm Road;

v. South-eastern kerb line, from the north-eastern boundary line of No.120 Vicarage Farm Road in a north-eastern direction to a point 4.8 metres south of the building line between Nos. 122 and 124 Vicarage Farm Road;

vi. South-eastern kerb line, from the building line between Nos. 255 and 257 Vicarage Farm Road in a north-eastern direction to a point 2.0 metres south of the north-eastern building line of No.261 Vicarage farm Road; &

vii. South-eastern kerb line, from a point 2.0 metres south of the building line between Nos.186 and 188 Vicarage Farm Road in a north-eastern direction to the south-western building line of No.269 Vicarage Farm Road.

2. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that The London Borough of Hounslow propose, under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, to construct a flat-top road hump (also known as a “speed table”) in Vicarage Farm Road, Heston, at its:-

a) junction with The Crossways, Heston:-

a. Northern end: 1.3m south of building line No.194 Vicarage Farm Road;

b. Southern end: 0.4m north of building line No.259 Vicarage Farm Road;

c. Eastern end: 7.9m west of building line No.267 Vicarage Farm Road.

b) junction with Summerhouse Avenue, Heston:-

a. Northern end: 2.6m south of building line between Nos. 122 and 124 Vicarage Farm Road;

b. Southern end: 3.2m South of building line Nos.118 and 120 Vicarage Farm Road; &

c. Western end: 1.2m East of building line No.122 Vicarage Farm Road.

3. The flat-top road humps would extend across both sides of Vicarage Farm Road:-

a) junction with The Crossways, Heston with a maximum height of 75mm, maximum centreline plateau length of 43.9m, and a maximum front and rear slope of 1 in 12; &

b) junction with Summerhouse Avenue, Heston with a maximum height of 75mm, maximum centreline plateau length of 28.3m, and a maximum front and rear slope of 1 in 12.

4. Documents giving further information of the proposals, including plans, can be viewed for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice online at hounslow.gov.uk by typing in the term “traffic notices” in the search bar.

5. Any person wishing to comment on the proposals should send a statement in writing, to the Acting Assistant Director for Traffic, Transport, and Parking, Hounslow Council, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, Middlesex TW3 3EB or by email to trafficorders@hounslow.gov.uk quoting the reference TMO/P016/25, to be received by no later than Friday, 09 May 2025.
