THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (HALTON ROUNDABOUT TO WHITEHURST JUNCTION, CHIRK, WREXHAM COUNTY BOROUGH) (DERESTRICTION) ORDER 202-
The Welsh Ministers propose to make an Order in exercise of their powers under sections 82(2), 83(1) and 124(1)(d) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the proposed Order will be to derestrict to the national speed limit the lengths of the A5 trunk road described in the Schedule to this Notice.
The Trunk Road (A5) (Chirk By-Pass, Halton, Clwyd) (De-Restriction) Order 1992 (S.I. 1992/147) will be revoked by the proposed Order.
During a period of 21 days from 11 April 2025, a copy of the proposed Order, plan, Statement of Reasons for making the Order and the Order being revoked may be inspected, free of charge, during normal opening hours at Froncysyllte Post Office, Holyhead Road, Froncysyllte, near Llangollen LL20 7RA, or can be viewed on the Welsh Government’s website at https://gov.wales/road-orders or obtained, free of charge, from the address below quoting reference number qA2283434.
Objections, specifying the grounds on which they are made, must be sent by e-mail to TransportOrdersBranch@gov.wales or in writing to Orders Branch, Transport, Welsh Government, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ by 2 May 2025.
Should you wish to object, support or make representations, the Welsh Government may need to consult with people and organisations outside of the Welsh Government. As part of the consultation process, we may pass information to them, including information you have provided and your personal data. We will, however, only disclose your personal details where it is necessary to do so to address the issues raised. If you do not wish personal data to be forwarded to third parties, you should state this when submitting your correspondence and the Welsh Government will copy the representations to the appropriate third parties with the name and address removed. If there is to be a local Public Inquiry, the representations will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result.

The length of the trunk road that extends from a point 87 metres south of the northern edge of the splitter island at Halton Roundabout to a point 104 metres north-west of the centre-point of its junction with the B5605, Chirk.

The length of the circulatory carriageway of Whitehurst Roundabout, Chirk.
