Unilon Nominees Limited (Unilon) was established by Gencor Limited, incorporated in South Africa to hold as nominee, the assets from the bearer warrants held by untraceable owners i.e. Warrant Holders and the unclaimed shares i.e. Dissenting Shareholders that arose as part of a series of corporate restructures and mergers prior to Gencor’s ultimate liquidation in 2006.

Unilon intends to apply to the Court for the nominee arrangements to be discharged and the proceeds either distributed to charity or paid into Court or Bona Vacantia to the Crown.

The purpose of this is, 18 years after Gencor’s liquidation, to enable Unilon to cease to incur administrative expenses in respect of these assets.
