1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton on 24 March 2025 made the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 84 and 124 insofar as applicable and all other powers thereunto enabling as of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984¹, as amended -

(a) The Sutton (Moving Traffic Restrictions) (Amendment No. 6) Order 2025

(b) The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 22) Order 2025

2. The general effect of the Orders would be to

(a) impose a 20mph speed limit in, Bankside Close, Banstead Road between the Railway Bridge and Park Hill, Cambridge Road, Fairview Road, Harrow Road, Hawthorn Road, Hill Road, King's Lane, Oxford Road, Park Hill between Gordon Road and Carshalton Road, Park Hill Close, Repton Close, Wales Avenue between Harrow Road and Park Hill, Warren Park Road and Weihurst Gardens;

(b) reduce certain lengths of parking restrictions to facilitate a new Zebra Crossing Banstead Road located south of its junction with Hill Road.

3. Copies of the Orders that will come into force 31 March 2025, of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders may be inspected at the Council’s Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.

4. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Or, that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
