*The Thales UK Pension Scheme was formerly comprised of the following separate schemes prior to 2008:

- the Racal Group Executive and Senior Management Pension Scheme

- the Racal-Decca Staff Pension and Life Assurance Scheme

- the Racal Group Staff Pension and Life Assurance Scheme

- the Racal Group Executive Pension Plan

- the Thales Optronics Pension Scheme

- the W Vinten Limited Pension Scheme

- the Avimo Pension Scheme

- the Thomson Pension Plan

- the Thomson Retirement Benefits Scheme

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 (as amended), that the Trustee of the Thales UK Pension Scheme (the ‘Scheme’) is considering discharging the Scheme funds in relation to the defined benefits of the Scheme, following which the Scheme may be wound up. The Trustee wishes to trace any person who is or was a member of the Scheme or who has a claim against, or entitlement arising under, the Scheme.

Anyone (including, but not limited to, any former employees or agents of the companies listed below (or their associated groups)) who believes that they may be entitled to benefits from the Scheme and has not already been contacted by the Trustee, should contact the Trustee as soon as possible. Please write to the Trustee at the address given below with full details of your claim and any benefits that you think you are entitled to, including your full name, address, date of birth, NI number, dates of employment and copies of any relevant papers. This information must be received by the Trustee no later than 25 May 2025.

Please be aware that the companies listed below may have also operated other pension schemes in the past, and this announcement only relates to the Thales UK Pension Scheme (formerly comprised of the separate schemes listed above prior to 2008).

After 25 May 2025, the Trustee and the sponsoring employer of the Scheme (Thales UK Limited) may proceed to wind up the Scheme. The Trustee will not be liable to or in respect of any person whose claim, interest or entitlement under the Scheme had not been notified to the Trustee by 25 May 2025.

If the Trustee has already been in contact with you (for example, if you have received correspondence from the Trustee during the last 12 months), or you are currently receiving a pension from the Scheme, you do not need to reply to this notice as your interest has already been noted.
