NOTICE OF CHANGE TO FEES AND CHARGES FOR ON-STREET AND OFF-STREET PARKING

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 35C: VARIATION OF CHARGES AT OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES
1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington, in exercise of its powers under sections 35c and 46a of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and regulation 25 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, from 1 April 2025, intend to vary the charges relating to on-street residents’, business, visitors’, motorcycle and car club parking permits in all controlled parking zones to which they apply; and in connection with the use of all off-street parking places on housing estates, within the area of the London Borough of Islington.
2) The existing charges, as shown in parentheses, and the new charges coming into operation on 1 April 2025 are set out in the following tables:

| All vehicle charges increase by 1.7% in line Sept.24 CPI. | ||||
| For example, the charge to an LBI Tenant or Leaseholder for a garage with a band B vehicle increases by £0.41 per week from £23.86 to £24.27per week. | ||||
| Tenant and resident service charge payers* with electric vehicles continue to have free access to Islington council estate parking facilities. Islington borough residents and non-residents** will continue to be charged at Band A. | ||||
