Notices under the Trustee Act 1925
NOTICE UNDER SECTION 27 OF THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925
T. CROSSLING & CO. LIMITED 1972 STAFF PENSION AND LIFE ASSURANCE SCHEME
(“THE SCHEME”)
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 (as amended) that the Trustees are winding up the Scheme, the Scheme’s benefits are shortly to be secured with an insurance company, and that any person (whether member, creditor or other) having a claim against or claiming to be beneficially interested in the Scheme (whether as a member, widow, widower or other dependant of a member or otherwise) is required to submit details in writing of their claim or interest.
If you have been contacted by the Trustees or have received correspondence from the Trustees in the last two years, or if you are currently in receipt of a pension from the Scheme there is no need to respond to this notice.
However, if you are a former employee of Crossling Limited or any associated company and think you are entitled to benefits under the Scheme, or if you believe you have any other interest under the Scheme, but have not recently been contacted by the Trustees, please contact us in writing at the T. Crossling & Co. Limited 1972 Staff Pension and Assurance Scheme Administration Team, Barnett Waddingham LLP, First Floor City Square House, 11 Wellington Street, Leeds, LS1 4DL, or alternatively by email, Crossling@Barnett-Waddingham.co.uk. You should include details of your full name, your current address, National Insurance number, the period during which you worked for Crossling Limited or any associated company, a note of any benefits to which you think you may be entitled and copies of any evidence that you can provide to confirm your entitlement. Alternatively, if you need clarification about the information required, please call 0333 1111 222.
Any claims as set out above should be made not later than 2 months from the date of this notice. The Trustees are in the process of securing benefits with an insurance company for the members and beneficiaries of the Scheme. Therefore, the Trustees want to ensure that their records include all members and beneficiaries so that the correct benefits are insured. If the Trustees do not hear from you, they will proceed with the insurance of the Scheme’s benefits, having regard only to the claims and interests of which they have received notice.
