The Trustees of the CMP Batteries Pension Scheme (“the Trustees” and “the Scheme”, respectively) hereby give notice for the purpose of Section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925 that the Scheme commenced winding up on 29 November 2024.
You do not need to contact the Trustees if you have received correspondence from the Trustees regarding the buyout and wind up of the Scheme, or if you have transferred your Scheme entitlement to another pension scheme or arrangement.
The Trustees wish to trace any persons who believe that they may have any right to benefits from the Scheme.
If you were, or are, an employee of GNB Industrial Power (UK) Limited (previously called CMP Batteries Limited), Spitfire Batteries Limited or Fulmen (UK) Limited and believe that you were a member of this Scheme, or believe you have any other interest, claim or entitlement in relation to the Scheme and you have not recently been contacted by the Trustees, or you are a spouse, civil partner, child or dependant of a deceased member, or a creditor of the Scheme, it is important that you contact the Trustees in writing at the address below by 31 March 2025. Alternatively, if you believe your benefits were transferred to the Scheme from the Chloride Group Pension Scheme or from the DJ Distribution Limited Retirement Benefit Scheme and you have not recently been contacted by the Trustees, please contact the Trustees in writing at :

Please provide full details of your claim and any benefits that you think you are entitled to, and include your full name, current address, date of birth and national insurance number.
If you want to make a claim, you must contact the Trustees by the claims deadline of 31 March 2025. After this date, the Trustees will, in reliance on Section 27 of the 1925 Act, distribute any remaining assets and wind up the Scheme. If you do not contact the Trustees regarding any claim within this period, the Trustee will not be liable for any claim you make regarding the Scheme.
